This five-time Best of Boston pizza joint has been making mouths water since 1902. Although in the beginning, it was just the grilled meat that they are duly famous for. When the "new expansion" happened in the 1920s, pizza came onto the scene. People in and outside of the Boston area make the drive to Eastie for their famous cheesy pies. Parking is terrible and there is sure to be a line out the door on any given night. But at lunchtime, it's easier to get a seat. If you eat in, ask your waiter to tell you about the celebrities he's served. If you're ordering take-out, bring someone with you and let them wait while you circle around. The open-fire grill produces both lamb kebabs and sausage while the pizza oven produces fantastic pizza in a number of combinations. The food is just straight out good. There's beer, wine and a full bar to accompany your selection. Located on the corner of Chelsea and Porter, just minutes from Logan International Airport, it is the perfect location to stop before or after (and heck, even in between) flights. It's that good.

A good neighborhood old school bakery. Nothing too fancy, but warm bread and some good sweet treats.

Ecco is an East Boston martini bar and bistro that serves well made cocktails and aims to take a creative spin on old bar food favorites. Lobster Mac n' Cheese, short rib shumai, and Thai crabmeat cakes cozy up to white peach bellinis and espresso martinis as patrons that reflect the neighborhoods diversity saddle up and enjoy them all.

This place feels more like you're sitting at someone's eat-in kitchen. Very cozy little spot with a short menu, but interesting due to the addition of chocolate on half of it. Columbian breakfast with egg, corn cake and chocolate ($7). Or Beef with corn cake and chocolate ($7). The corn cakes are small, round, yellow, hand-formed, and look like they've been cooked cowboy-style. They also serve pot roast, sausage, steak and chicken.

Incredibly fresh seafood located at the mouth of the Sumner Tunnel. No fuss restaurant serving quality food with a blue collar vibe, you'll be greeted in neighborhood style "What can I do ya?" You'll find all the New England mainstays - lobster roll ($16.95), clam chowder ($4.50 pint or $7.50 quart), seafood boxes, scallops ($14.95), Mussels Yano ($10.95) and other signature dishes that will absolutely wow you.
