Learn how to sail or simply watch the races at Piers Park Sailing Center in East Boston. During the summer, races are held most Friday nights (accompanied by a barbecue for $5 a person) and Saturday mornings during the fall. The park also plays host to the annual Youth Invitational Regatta and provides summer and winter youth classes where students learn team building skills and gain knowledge of sailing fundamentals. Adults can get in on the fun, too, with courses ranging from introductory to advanced. Free parking and an easy walk from the Maverick MBTA Station. Daysailing, overnight cruising, sailing certifications, instruction, free youth programs and more.

Dedicated, national network of U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains provide on-water assistance to thousands of boaters every year. The yellow Sea Tow boats are world famous, patrolling the waters daily, to ensure boaters' safety.
