Fabulous little neighborhood pub run by Eddie and Tommy, who really care about their customers. Local old timers will be lining the bar, and the owners like to make it a safe haven in an area that can be kind of rough. Eddie will even drive people home himself to make sure that they make it back in one piece, and on Xmas they serve a dinner for the needy. Great old fashioned music plays, and they serve a "fine selection of beer and cordials." It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, they'll treat you like family when you walk in the door. A nice little place reminiscent of the North End, where you can dress up a little and get together with family and friends for good food and coffee. Proprietors Tony and Donna Oliviero will make sure that everyone feels welcome, and the atmosphere is very warm and casual. The front seating section is very nice with the open kitchen. Lots of politicians and well known people in the Italian American community come to dine there. John, the daytime espresso guy, makes a killer foamy brew. The lounge is a great place for an after-dinner drink. On a nice evening, top it all off with a leisurely stroll to Piers Park on Marginal Street. The views of Boston from there are truly magical. TIP: Thursdays and Fridays feature live entertainment.
