This five-time Best of Boston pizza joint has been making mouths water since 1902. Although in the beginning, it was just the grilled meat that they are duly famous for. When the "new expansion" happened in the 1920s, pizza came onto the scene. People in and outside of the Boston area make the drive to Eastie for their famous cheesy pies. Parking is terrible and there is sure to be a line out the door on any given night. But at lunchtime, it's easier to get a seat. If you eat in, ask your waiter to tell you about the celebrities he's served. If you're ordering take-out, bring someone with you and let them wait while you circle around.
The open-fire grill produces both lamb kebabs and sausage while the pizza oven produces fantastic pizza in a number of combinations. The food is just straight out good. There's beer, wine and a full bar to accompany your selection.
Located on the corner of Chelsea and Porter, just minutes from Logan International Airport, it is the perfect location to stop before or after (and heck, even in between) flights. It's that good.

Cant be beat! Delicious thin crust pizza. Get a double garlic well gone. Get a sausage some bread and peppers with a beer.. Never ever bad!!! The best

Although a longtime Pizzeria Regina devotee, I could not resist the delicious sauce of this pie!

Pretty much all they serve are BBQ lamb and sausage($5 to $10), and pizza (around $10). Big wads of meat on giant skewers. This pizza has a soft, thick crust and when it comes out to your table it will look all red, because the cheese melts right into the sauce. Not as much cheese as I like, but it's still a very good pie and I ate it all up. The atmosphere is home-grown. Locals talk about their bets at the bar, and you could easily sit back and chat with the person next to you for a while. Table seating is available, and the 'waitress' may be a crusty old guy as easily as it might be a young woman. Friendly and attentive staff. You can't get the BBQ for take-out, so keep that in mind when you're ordering out.
